Abstract

Francisco González Gaxiola (Mocorito, Sinaloa, 1948) is the kind of literature teacher who sought to develop creative, restless, and critical minds. A writer trainer for over 25 years in the autobiographical genre, he tells us through that same genre how his fascination with language, letters, and his encounter with teaching arose. Through this interview, Francisco González shares his philosophical vision of literature and the need to consider what literature teaches, why it is important to delve into its reading, but, above all, he emphasizes the prevailing need for literary criticism of Sonoran literature.
