Biannual journal of a scientific-reflective nature, peer-reviewed, open and free access, with an emphasis on innovation and research related to the teaching of language and literature, discourse analysis, cultural studies, literary studies, literary theory and of interdisciplinary research, as well as comprehension and production of texts in L1 and L2.
Section Policies
All works published in λambda Studies. Theory and practice of didactics in language and literature should be subject to the following guidelines:
- be related to the aforementioned thematic axes,
- be original, rigorous and well founded,
- not have been previously published,
- not be simultaneously subject to an opinion in another publication.
- Refereed works
- Empirical research articles. Document that presents, in detail, the original results of completed research projects. The structure generally used contains four important sections: introduction, methodology, results and discussion. Λambda studies. Theory and Practice of Didactics in Language and Literature gives priority to this type of work.
- Review articles. Document that results from a completed investigation where the results of published or unpublished research on the didactics of language and literature are analyzed, systematized and integrated, in order to account for progress and development trends. It is characterized by presenting a careful bibliographic review of at least 50 references.
- Theoretical articles. Works in which theoretical perspectives of investigation in didactics of language and literature are analyzed, and that contribute to the advancement of theory in our areas. In this type of work, the author monitors the development of the theory to expand or refine theoretical constructs and present new proposals. He can also analyze the consistencies or inconsistencies of existing theories.
- Translation. Translations of classic or current texts or transcriptions of historical documents or documents of particular interest in the publication domain of the journal.
- Case report. Document that presents the results of a study on a particular situation in order to publicize the use of didactic resources and teaching-learning methodologies in language and literature. It includes a commented systematic review of publications on similar cases.
- Special edition: The Lambda Studies magazine contemplates the edition of special issues in the modality of monographic issue, which consists of the publication of articles that revolve around one of the thematic axes and that will be convened in due course.
- Non-refereed works
- Editorial . Document written by the number editor, a member of the editorial committee or a visiting researcher. Editorial articles must deal with orientations in the thematic domain of the journal.
- Interview . Presentation of the central proposals of some prominent academic in the field of research in didactics of language and literature.
- Conference . Work presented by a specialist in didactics of language and literature, in which one of the thematic axes of this magazine is addressed. The work must have been presented as a conference in an academic event. It is recommended that the text contain: introduction, body of work and conclusions.
- Reviews or critical reviews . Analysis or critical reviews of recently published books that address issues related to the didactics of language and literature. Current publication reviews are preferred.
IMPORTANT
The following will not be accepted:
- informal opinion pieces,
- essays or works without theoretical foundation,
- incipient or inconclusive investigations,
- narratives, anecdotes or experiences -personal or institutional-; pedagogical proposals without empirical evidence and discussion,
- book summaries,
- jobs with serious writing problems,
- articles little related to the central themes of the magazine.
